About Me

Hi! My name is Jennifer, and I’m the face behind The Sweet Chapter Co. 

I’ve always loved baking, going back to when I was a little girl and would look forward each year to baking Christmas cookies with my mom and grandma. The only thing I loved and did more than baking, likely, was reading. I always had a book with me, no matter where I went or what I was doing.

As I got older, got married, and had kids (Cooper, Carsyn, and Keaton), I wanted to do something for myself but also allowed me to be at home to drive them to all their various thousands of activities. Knowing that my community loves to support one another and that macarons were not a commodity that was represented in the community, I vowed to teach myself how to make them. This proved to not be for the faint of heart... macarons often have a mind of their own! But I persevered and finally started producing delicious macarons regularly! 

Wanting to tap into my love of reading, which, to be honest, I was still doing every chance I got, including while my mixer was running, I decided that my macarons would be book-inspired. Book tropes, book themes, book characters... all have a place in my home bakery! And thus, The Sweet Chapter Co was born. I would love to be someone you reach out to when you need a gift for the book lover in your life or if it's your turn to bring snacks to book club.
